There are things that could be done to help teenagers. Programs could be started in schools. When you think about it, there are many ways to address this.

The relationship between social media and adolescent mental health has sparked significant academic debate over the past decade. Twenge et al. (2018) analyzed data from over 500,000 adolescents, finding that teens spending five or more hours daily on devices were 66% more likely to exhibit suicide risk factors.

However, Orben and Przybylski challenged these conclusions, demonstrating that the reported effect sizes were minimal—comparable to correlations between potato consumption and depression (Orben & Przybylski, 2019). Their reanalysis found technology use explained less than 1% of wellbeing variation.
